A Policeman has been killed in firing by unknown persons in Jaffarabad district of Balochistan.
According to the details The Balochistan Post received, unknown armed persons opened fire on a police check post in District Jaffarabad, killing a policeman on the spot.
The assailants fled the scene after the attack.
Police and security forces arrived on the site and moved the dead body to nearest hospital.
After the incident security forces cordoned off the area and Police has started investigation.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of filing this report. However, Balochistan is home to a long-running insurgency by ‘pro-independence’ armed Baloch groups.
