My ideal Sangat Zahid Baloch

Author: Shohaz Baloch

A man becomes a legend when his thoughts, ideas, and actions inspire people to do more, think more, learn more, dream more and make a way for future. As like our legend Zahid Kurd aka Baloch khan ,an inspirational iconic person, his way of talking & speech and the way when he taught his fellows motivate students towards the goal, which they want to achieve remain always alive in our sentiments.

Zahid’s words and lectures even today act as guiding torch for many Baloch youth and students. His opinions during any debate or discussion solved issues in a very positive manner, without leaving any questions in minds of other students.

Zahid kurd is basically from Naal (Khuzdar). He achieved his basic education from his hometown in Naal and for further education went to Karachi, where Baloch students were very much politically active.

Zahid first joined BSO Pajjar, which he considered one of his biggest mistake. BSO Pajjar is a pocket student Organization of National Party a traitor party for Baloch nation which is active against Baloch liberation movement since decades & the members of National Party are also involved in Baloch genocide and abduction of peaceful political activists. Zahid said he very soon understood that instead of guiding Baloch youth towards national consciousness, BSO-Pajjar was only involved in maligning and countering peaceful activism of BSO-Azad. Zahid then resigned from BSO-Pajjar and joined BSO-Azad as he understood it is only BSO-Azad, which spreads national awareness about Balochistan’s main issue – the lost independence.

Zahid’s political career started in Karachi when he was a young guy, who went to Karachi University to make and mould up his future but he started learning against illegal occupation of his motherland, injustice, slavery, nationalism and revolution. Later on he started joining social and political study circles of Baloch students and gradually became aware of so called educational syllabus of occupant state, which is made for the purpose of exploitation and making mental cognition of Baloch Youth astray over their civilisation and culture.

Zahid Baloch soon became among the followers of Dr Allah Nizar’s idea and then started learning about the ideas of leninism and marxism.

He was later selected as zonal president and then Central Committee member of BSO-Azad.

Though he faced opposition from his own family but he maintained his affiliation with the organisation and concentrated on the objectives, which he wanted to achieve for the collective benefit of the nation.

On this way, he sacrificed his every wish for the better future of Baloch nation which was to get rid of the curse of slavery.

Zahid Baloch’s dedication and courage took him to the point where only a great leader could reach that is why he became the Chairman during 2012 council session of BSO-Azad, which is considered the biggest students organization of Balochistan.

When state military and intelligence agencies initiated bloody operations against Baloch nation especially targeted against BSO activists and Baloch youth (which is still continue in every corner of occupied Balochistan) and abduction of Baloch students became a daily routine in Balochistan, state dump & kill policy reached to it’s peak Point, Zahid Baloch still visited different areas of Balochistan to unite Baloch youth. Though he knew that if Pakistani secret agencies arrest him, he will also face the same brutalities that his other friends like Qamber Chakar, Zakir majeed, Sangat Sana and many others faced.

The state atrocities were increasing day by day but so were the activities of Baloch students and then the darkest day came when we lost our Leader Zahid Baloch, and he also became avictim of enforced disappearances policy of state agencies.

It was really a great loss for Baloch Nation especially For BSO Azad and Baloch youth. Zahid Baloch was abducted by Pakistan’s secret agencies and FC (frontier corps) in-front of current chairperson of BSO-Azad and other local people on 18 march 2014 from CGS Colony Satellite Town Quetta.

They physically abducted him but his clear vision and aim couldn’t be abducted or killed. Comrade Lateef Johar, former CC member of BSO-Azad sat in hunger strike unto death in front of Karachi press club for 46 days and broke his hunger strike only when he was requested by International communities & so-called Human Rights Champions that they will pressurise Pakistan to release Zahid. But all these promises were lies and till this Zahid is languishing in Pakistani torture cells along with thousands of other missing persons.
