The Balochistan Post has received reports of a military operation conducted by Pakistani security forces in different areas of district Awaran, Balochistan.
A military convoy was earlier seen heading towards Dandar.
Locals have since heard large explosions during the operation that both aerial and ground troops of Pakistan Army are conducting simultaneously.
At least 8 gunship helicopters and a surveillance drone have been spotted flying over the area.
The reports suggest gunship helicopters are heavily bombarding areas in Dandar, Maadke, Bidrang, Kalat and Kolwah.
Pakistani security forces have completely sealed road routes heading towards the affected area.
It is not first time when Pakistani forces have conducted operations in the region. In a similar offensive in August at least two men were killed and whole Kolwah area was besieged for more than 10 days. BNM, a political organisation, had alleged that personnel of Pakistani forces had sexually assaulted a Baloch woman during the operation.
