Pakistani forces have arrested at least 31 after conducting search operations in different areas of Quetta. Frontier Corps (FC) and Police carried joint search operations in Chaki Shahwani, Sariab road, Hazar Ganji, Faiz Abad, Nawa Killi and Kuchlak areas.
Pakistan Army’s public relations officers confirmed in a press release that they have arrested 31 suspects under operation Rad ul Fasad.
Operation Rad ul Fasad was launched by Pakistan Army against Taliban and other religious extremists after the United States stopped military aid to Pakistan. However, the scope of operation has now also been widened to Balochistan, where analysts believe secular Baloch are being killed under the pretext of war against religious extremists.
