In a recent incident, Pakistani security forces detained two individuals, a father named Raheemo Bugti and his son Ameer Bugti, from the Sui area in Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district. The detainees were subsequently moved to an undisclosed location. The motive behind their detention remains unknown.

Meanwhile, in a separate development in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, two missing persons have safely returned home. Muhammad Anwar, son of Muhammad Hayat Sheikh, and Nasrullah, son of Abdullah Jattak, were reportedly picked up from tehsil Zehri over a month ago. Family sources have confirmed their safe release.

Muhammad Anwar and Nasruallah, who safely returned home

Enforced disappearances are unfortunately common in the region, with periodic surges. In Zehri, Pakistani security forces, collaborating with local death squads, have detained several individuals, relocating them to undisclosed facilities.

Earlier this year, in March, the forces apprehended three more individuals in separate incidents: Mir Khan, son of Syed Khan; Hussain Khan, son of Syed Khan; and Bilal, son of Ustad Muhammad Bakhsh Miraji. As of now, these three detainees have not returned home.
