The body of a forcibly disappeared person, Malik Reha son of Gul Muhammad Marri, was recovered from the Machi check post in Kohlu district of Balochistan on Monday.

According to local sources, Reha was taken into custody along eleven days ago with another individual and transferred to an undisclosed location by Pakistani forces. The other abductee was later released, however, Reha’s dead body was recovered from Pakisatni security forces’ chek post in Sibi on Monday.

It is noteworthy that bodies of forcibly disappeared individuals continue to be discovered at various times and in diffrent areas of Balochistan, with their numbers reportedly reaching into the thousands.

On the other hand, numerous cases have emerged in Balochistan where Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies have been implicated in forcibly disappearing people. Videos of forced disappearances by the Pakistani law-enforcement forces are also circulating in the region on social media.
