Pillion riding banned in Gwadar district over security concerns

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, a ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Gwadar district due to security concerns.

As per sources, the ban was decided today during a meeting of security agencies and local administration in Gwadar.

The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar, and a ban for 30 days was decided due to security threats.

The decision came after yesterday’s incident when 5 labourers were killed and another three were injured by an armed Baloch group in Gwadar district.

Gwadar is considered the hub of multi-billion dollar Chinese project, CPEC, but many of the work on the project has been delayed or stopped due to security threats in the district.
