Indian cricket team’s skipper Virat Kohli, who recently topped ICC rankings for both ODI and T20I, also finds himself on top of the list of the highest-paid athletes on Instagram, according to Forbes.

Kohli is currently the most marketable athlete in India and the face of cricket all around the world.

According to Forbes, Kohli’s brand value exceeds Barcelona star Lionel Messi, Pro golfer Rory McIlroy and NBA’s Stephen Curry. Kohli who has over 16 million Instagram followers, earns a staggering $500,000 per promotional post on Instagram, that is the same amount as Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the most followed athlete on Instagram with over 114 million followers.

Earlier, last month Kohli shot past Barcelona star Lionel Messi in Forbes’ list of the world’s most valuable athletes.
