An Afghan national was killed and three people injured when Frontier Corps (FC) personnel opened fire on a vehicle after it allegedly failed to stop at Kharan Cross in the Ahmed Wal area of Noshki, local sources said.
The vehicle was carrying Afghan nationals towards Quetta when it came under fire, according to the sources.
The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Gul Ahmed, an Afghan national.
The injured included the driver, Zahid Mengal, a resident of Noshki, and two Afghan nationals identified as Abdul Karim and Allah Dad.
The body and the injured were taken to Government Teaching Hospital Noshki, where they received initial medical treatment. Those seriously injured were later referred to Quetta for further treatment.
