An explosion killed at least three Pakistani bomb disposal officers in Balochistan’s Kalat district on Wednesday, local sources said, in one of several attacks reported in the area.
The blast took place in the Manguchar area as personnel were attempting to defuse an explosive device, the sources said.
Shortly after the blast, a heavy contingent of Pakistani forces moved into the area, where an armoured military vehicle was targeted with rockets by armed men, damaging the vehicle, the sources added.
On Monday, Pakistani forces were also targeted in an overnight attack in the same area, with initial reports saying they suffered casualties.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, and there was no immediate comment from Pakistani authorities.
