Two bodies were recovered from the Panjgur district of Balochistan, where locals alleged that the victims had been abducted and later killed by Pakistani forces and a local “death squad”.
According to reportst, at around 3 a.m. between Sunday and Monday night, personnel of Pakistani armed forces accompanied by the members of an alleged government backed militia, locally known as “death squad”, raided the Jaein area of Parom and abducted Zahoor, son of Arz Mohammad. He reportedly remained missing until his body was found early on Monday morning, dumped in the Daz Gomazi area of Parom.
In another incident, Faqeer Jan, son of Ghulam Jan Shambezai, was reportedly abducted on October 18 from Gowash by armed men traveling in a Surf vehicle. His body was later discovered in the same area. Locals claimed that he too was kidnapped and killed by members of a “state-backed death squad.”
Such incidents have become a disturbing pattern across Balochistan, where alleged cases of enforced disappearances followed by extrajudicially killings and fake encounters operations continue to surface, sparking growing concern among human rights groups and other citizens.
