A book stall set up under the “Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan” initiative by the Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) in Taunsa was raided by police and local administration.

According to BSAC, students present at the stall were harassed during the raid, with police attempting to shut down the event. Witnesses alleged that officers profiled the students and ordered them to leave the premises.

The BSAC stated that the book campaign was part of their ongoing efforts to promote educational awareness and address the challenges facing students in Balochistan. The group described the raid as an attempt to undermine their initiative, which they say aims to inspire youth through access to educational resources.

Despite the disruption, BSAC members have vowed to continue their campaign, emphasizing that they will not back down in the face of what they see as obstacles imposed by the authorities. “We remain committed to raising awareness about educational issues in Balochistan and will resist any further attempts to shut down our efforts,” the group said.

No official comment has been issued by the police or local administration regarding the incident.
