The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claims to have killed ten Pakistani soldiers in an ambush on a military convoy in Balochistan’s Nushki district, according to a statement released by the group on Tuesday.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the attack took place on Monday near Qadirabad, about five kilometers from Nushki. “BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of the occupying Pakistani forces, eliminating 10 enemy personnel on the spot and injuring at least four others,” he stated.

The BLA reported two of its fighters, Adnan Baloch and Yasir Baloch, were killed in the prolonged confrontation. “Despite his injuries, Martyr Adnan Baloch held his position for over an hour, covering his unit’s retreat before sacrificing his life,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

He added that Yasir Baloch, wounded in the encounter, “managed to hold his ground but ultimately succumbed to blood loss.”

According to the BLA, Adnan Baloch, also known as Safar Khan, was a student of International Relations who joined the group in early 2023. He was described as an “urban guerrilla” with notable skills in operations around Nushki.

Yasir Baloch, a 27-year-old mechanical engineer from Khuzdar, was said to have joined the BLA in 2018, engaging in “significant” battles across Bolan, Nagaho, and Shorparud in Kalat. The spokesperson described his commitment as “unparalleled,” adding, “His dedication and tenacity in the pursuit of Baloch freedom marked him as an exemplary BLA soldier.”

The BLA spokesperson honored their “bravery and commitment,” stating their “noble legacy will never be forgotten, and the debt of their martyrdom will continue to drive the national struggle for liberation.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the clash in Nushki, reporting that security forces had engaged with militants, resulting in the death of one “terrorist” and the recovery of weapons and ammunition. The ISPR added that a sanitization operation is ongoing to clear remaining threats in the area.
