The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a final video message from Mahal Baloch, also known as Zilan Kurd, a member of the BLA’s elite Majeed Brigade.

In the video, Mahal delivers her last message before carrying out an attack as part of “Operation Herof,” during which she reportedly detonated a car bomb targeting a Pakistani military headquarters in Bela.

The video, published by the BLA’s media wing “Hakkal,” opens with footage of female fighters from the Majeed Brigade patrolling a mountainous area. Mahal Baloch, identified as the third female “Fidayee” (self-sacrificer) of the BLA, addresses her family, friends, and the Baloch nation.

She explains that joining the Baloch freedom movement was a personal choice driven by her belief in the necessity of armed struggle for independence. “I want to tell my family that the path I have chosen has always been my desire,” Mahal says in the video. “Our enemy does not understand the pen; they can only be fought with bullets, bombs, and artillery.”

Mahal urges her family not to grieve over her death but to take pride in her actions. “I want to tell my family not to bow their heads after my death, but to hold them high with pride,” she says. “Be proud that your daughter was part of this struggle, participated in the freedom movement, and fought the enemy.”

She then directs a message to her sisters, encouraging them to join the cause. “To my sisters, I say: stand shoulder to shoulder with your brothers in the fight for freedom. Together, you can liberate your country and secure a prosperous future for the Baloch nation.”

The video later shows Mahal sitting inside a vehicle, moments before heading toward her target. Addressing the Baloch nation, particularly its women, she draws inspiration from those who came before her.

“Just as the brave women before me sacrificed their lives for the nation, becoming legends like Sharul (Shari Baloch) and Sammul (Sumaiya), they gave us the confidence, courage, and bravery,” Mahal says. “Like women from other nations, the women of the Baloch nation are also ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of their homeland.”

She further explains that her participation in “Operation Herof” was chosen by her comrades in the Majeed Brigade. “The comrades of the Majeed Brigade decided that I should participate in Operation Herof alongside my fellow fighters, so that there is no distinction between us—Baloch women and men fighting the enemy on the same front.”

She describes her mission, saying, “With this philosophy of sacrifice in mind, I am heading for my mission, Operation Herof. I will teach the enemy a lesson they will never forget, and their generations will remember that our land, especially our mothers and sisters, are not abandoned for them to subject to violence.”

Mahal adds, “This is the caravan of Aslam, the caravan of Sharul, and the caravan of Sammul. Neither Punjabis nor Chinese can stop it.”

The video ends with Mahal urging her comrades to remain committed to the struggle after her death. She recites a poem in the Brahui language before concluding with a Balochi poem by a previous BLA “Fidayee,” Salman Hammal: “Hāk e washbō a awāren padā wātar kāyen, Jang e mā kisān kāren padā wātar kāyen” (We will return immersed in the fragrance of this land, we will return bringing the stories of the war).
