Pakistani forces and secretive agencies have reportedly detained three Baloch individuals from Gwadar, the coastal city of Balochistan, and Taunsa Sharif on Saturday, subsequently relocating them to an undisclosed location.

According to reports, Pakistani forces allegedly forcibly disappeared two individuals during a house raid in the Kulanch area of Gwadar and tortured the housholds during the search operation.

The detainees have been identified as Beebagr Basham and his cousin Ejaz Baloch. Local sources have confirmed that Beebgar Basham is the brother of Abu Bakr Baloch, the junior joint secretary of BSO Pajjar.

In another similar incident, plainclothed personnel raided a house near the City Food Club in Taunsa Sharif and forcibly disappeared a Baloch student. Since then, his whereabouts remain undisclosed.

The missing youth has been identified as Shoaib Buzdar, son of Khan Mohammad. Shoaib is a student of Bolan Medical College in Quetta and was on a visit to his hometown.

Locals expressed concern over the incident and alleged that the youth was forcibly disappeared by personnel from Pakistani secretive agencies. However, government officials and related authorities have not yet commented on the matter.

It’s pertinent to mention that enforced disappearances are not uncommon in Balochistan, as almost every day youths faces a similar fate without trial or are killed in an alleged fake encounters. Human rights organizations, including the United Nations and Amnesty International, have expressed deep concerns over rising cases of enforced disappearances in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan.
