A Baloch young man allegedly disappeared from the Mach area of the Bolan district of Balochistan.

According to reports, Pakistani forces have purportedly forcibly detained Sajid Sumalani after arresting him in the Mach area of the district.

It is pertinent to mention that Sumalani’s brother, Nisar Ahmed, son of Ishaq, allegedly went missing at the hands of Pakistani forces in 2015, and since then, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Enforced disappearance is a daily occurrence in Balochistan, with more than 55,000 people missing from different regions of Balochistan. Human Rights Organizations and the families of the victims accuse Pakistani forces and their intelligence agencies of running a death squad that forcibly disappears and targets activists and civilians in Balochistan.
