Residents in the tribal area of Tamman Gorshani, Rajanpur, have expressed concerns over instructions reportedly given by the Pakistani military to evacuate several areas ahead of a planned missile test. The named regions include Alaqa Maadi, Moza Grozan, Drazh Thal, Moza Chambhri, Moza Loot Lar Sham, Khilchaas, and Raikani Gehoor.

Many locals have been reluctant to leave their homes, citing fears they may not be allowed to return. In response, officials from the Pakistani military have allegedly stated that those who remain in the evacuation zones would be responsible for any personal or property damages.

The logistical aspects of such a move are causing distress among residents, especially regarding where they should relocate with their belongings and livestock, with the added pressure of the approaching winter season.

It’s worth noting that missile tests were previously conducted in 2018 in several areas of Tamman Gorshani. Some locals have reported economic setbacks following these tests.

Additionally, there have been claims from the region about an increase in infectious diseases after the 2018 tests. However, the lack of comprehensive medical facilities in these areas makes verifying these claims challenging.

As the 15-day notice purportedly given by the military concludes, tensions and anxieties remain high among the residents of Tamman Gorshani.
