In the last 24 hours, two check-posts of Pakistani security forces were attacked by unidentified armed men in the Panjgur district of Balochistan, BLA claimed responsibility for both attacks.

According to reports, unidentified armed men attacked a check post of Pakistani forces located near the Saradak area of Panjgur on Thursday night. A day earlier, the Pakistani forces’ check post in Faizuk Chowk also came under attack by armed men.

Both attacks were claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in two separate statements released to the media. Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the group said that “Baloch fighters launched several grenades at the enemy positions, inflicting heavy losses on the occupying forces.”

Such attacks on Pakistani forces are a common occurrence across Balochistan by Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups where according to insurgents and local sources, Pakistani forces suffer casualties. But the Pakistan military officials mostly do not confirm or deny the reports of attacks.

Meanwhile, in the same week, the Pakistani troops were reportedly targeted in three different areas of the Kech district of Balochistan where five personnel of the Pakistan army were reportedly killed. Three of them were identified as Haider Ali, Mubarak Shah, and Subedar Mehmood.

The death of the Pakistani soldiers has been confirmed by their relatives and local sources from Kech.

These three attacks were claimed by another Baloch armed group, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in a press release. BLF also media released photos of “confiscated weapons” by Pakistani forces after the attack.
