A military operation by Pakistani forces in Bolan and its adjacent continues for the second day, during which clashes between the Pakistan army and Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups have been reported on Monday.

Pakistan Army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed the military operation in the area and clashes Baloch fighters.

The military operation which started yesterday is continuing in different areas of Bolan, Kaman, Yakho, Uch Kaman, Gumbadi, Darag Pirani, Saaro, Buzgar, and Sangan area of Sibi as well. According to reports, Pakistani forces have also deployed troops in the mountain ranges adjacent to Harnai.

During the advance of the forces in the Bolan operation, reports of heavy clashes between the forces and armed groups have also been reported by local sources.

As per fresh reports, two Pakistani SSG commandos identified as Muhammad Qaiser Abbasi and Mohammed Shafiullah were killed in clashes with Baloch fighters.

The ISPR has confirmed the death of two personnel and said that the Pakistani forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Kaman-Pass area of ​​Balochistan where a heavy exchange of fire between the forces and the armed men took place. The ISPR claimed in the statement that 4 members of a Baloch armed group armed were killed in the exchange of gunfire, while Sepoy Shafiullah and Sepoy Muhammad Qaiser were killed in the firing.

The total number of casualties in the clashes during the operation has not been ascertained yet, but the arrival and departure of military choppers continued for the whole day on Monday.

Meanwhile, on Monday, another Pakistan army official was also killed in an armed attack in the Taftan area of Balochistan.

The incident took place in Taftan, a border town between Western and Eastern Balochistan. The deceased army officer has been identified as Muhammad Ayaz Mullazai.

According to the sources, the said officer belonged to the Engineer Corps of the Pakistan Army and he was holding the rank of a Captain.

However, it is not known in what kind of attack the above-mentioned officer was killed. The ISPR has not yet commented on the incident, neither has any armed group accepted the responsibility for the attack.
