Doctors were beaten and arrested on Saturday night by the police in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan when they were protesting their demands.

According to reports, the police raided the protest camp of the Balochistan Physiotherapists Association held in front of the Governor House. Dozens, including women, were arrested and beaten. Quetta police baton-charged male and female physiotherapists and arrested them while they were peacefully protesting for job opportunities to serve their future.

During the baton charge, a woman member of the Physiotherapy Association Committee passed out and was shifted to civil hospital Quetta.

Whereas on Sunday, the students blocked the road in front of the University of Balochistan in protest against police “brutality”  and the arrest of doctors. Protesters demanded the immediate release of their fellow students.

It is pertinent to mention that physiotherapists have been protesting in Quetta for the last 127 days for their demands.
