A Government-backed group has kidnapped a woman from Mashkay area of Balochistan on Saturday.

According to details, the woman’s family has confirmed that members of the government-backed gang, namely Death Squad, has abducted Shahbaz Khan’s daughter.

The family has expressed concern that the Death Squad will force our daughter to marry one of their members.

As per the local sources, the ‘death squads’ are active under the patronage of Pakistani intelligence agencies in Balochistan and have been formed against the Baloch pro-independence forces, while those belonging to the death squads have been given open permission for theft and other crimes.

Incidents of enforced disappearances of Baloch women from other areas of Balochistan including Mashkay have been reported in the past. Such acts have been strongly condemned by political and social circles.

Death squad groups have been accused of abducting and killing people. The Baloch constituencies stand that these groups have been formed by the Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies to counter the ongoing insurgency in Balochistan.
