Two people were killed in firing incidents in Khuzdar and Osta Muhammad on Wednesday

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, two people were killed, including a woman, in separate incidents of firing on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred in Khuzdar city when armed men opened fire on a man, killing him on the spot. Whereas, a child was also injured in the firing, who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The deceased was later identified as Muhammad Sadiq and the child as Muhammad Ayub. Local sources termed the incident as a result of an old enmity while an investigation by the police was underway.

In another news, a woman was killed in an alleged ‘Honor Killing’ by her husband.

The incident occurred in ‘Goth Saleem Jamali’ near Osta Muhammad city. The husband escaped the scene after killing his wife. Whereas, police told the media that they were doing efforts for the arrest of the culprit.

Moreover, a Rikshaw driver was attacked in Hazara town in Quetta by unknown armed men. The driver was rushed to the hospital in critical conditions where he was under treatment.

People belonging to Hazara community, an ethnic minority in Balochistan, are often targeted by religious militant groups in Quetta.

Hazara representatives had also accused in past that the Pakistani secret services have given a free hand to the sectarian groups.
