The Largest pro-independence Baloch mass organisation, Baloch National Movement (BNM), has called for full support of Pashtun Long March for rights.

In a statement released by the Chairman of BNM, Khaleel Baloch, Baloch nation was requested to participate in long march being held in Quetta on Sunday.

“I appeal Baloch nation to join the Long March in solidarity with the persecuted Pashtun for raising their voices against Pakistani state oppression,” Chairman Khaleel Baloch said in the statement received by The Balochistan Post (TBP).

Mr. Baloch said that it is high time that Pashtun nation also initiates a parallel struggle for national emancipation against Punjabi dominance and Pakistan’s oppression like Baloch nation has done.

“Pakistan has been involved in exploitation and oppression of other nations since its formation. Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtun nations are being economically exploited and their values, culture and language have been continuously targeted,” added chairman of BNM.

He said that for these exploited nations there is no resort but to get rid of Pakistani dominance so they become masters of their own destiny.

He further said that it is very positive that Pashtun as a nation is finally admitting the brutalities and genocide they are going through. Tens of Thousands of Pashtuns have fallen prey to state terrorism and even higher numbers are languishing in torture cells.

Mr. Khaleel Baloch also praised the demonstrations held in Islamabad against extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsood.

Naqeebullah Mehsood was killed by Pakistani police in a fake encounter in Karachi after which series of protests had erupted in different Pashtun dominated regions.

Mr. Khaleel Baloch also expressed remorse on the “heart-wrenching” story of Lambaro, an old lady from Swat whose fours sons were killed or went missing at the hands of Pakistani security forces.

“This story should be an eyeopener for the whole Pashtun nation to realise what is happening to them,” Mr. Khaleel Baloch added.

Chairman of BNM said that Baloch nation can fully understand the extent of atrocities that Pashtun nation is going through because we ourselves have been target of this wrath for last seventy years. This has escalated many folds in last eighteen years.

He said that all the suppressed nations including Baloch and Pashtun need to struggle jointly against these atrocities.
