A 32-year-old driver, Munir Ahmed, son of Sharif, was allegedly forcibly disappeared from his home in Naal, Khuzdar district, according to his family.
Family members said an armed group they described as a state-backed “death squad” took Munir from his home at around 9 p.m. on October 2, 2026.
Meanwhile, Rasheed Baloch, son of Qadir Bakhsh, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Shadi Kaur in Pasni, Gwadar district, on August 30, 2026, returned home on September 27.
Enforced disappearances remain a longstanding issue in Balochistan, with families and rights groups accusing Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies of detaining individuals and holding them incommunicado.
The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) said in its monthly report that it documented 87 cases of alleged enforced disappearance across Balochistan in August 2026, including eight women and 17 teenagers.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s (BYC) Human Rights Department also said in its semi-annual report that many cases were documented weeks or months after the alleged disappearance because families were threatened against reporting them to the media and human rights organisations.
