Two Baloch armed groups said on Wednesday they carried out a series of attacks on Pakistani forces and military supply lines in several districts of Balochistan.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said that its fighters killed three Pakistani soldiers in an ambush in Khuzdar district and executed a man it accused of working as an intelligence agent for Pakistani forces.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said fighters targeted a military vehicle on 15 January on the Ornach highway, claiming three soldiers were killed “on the spot.”

The group said it had also executed a man it identified as Naveed Ahmed, known locally as Naveed Hashim, whom it alleged was acting as an informant under the patronage of a military subedar in Kech district.

According to the statement, Naveed was detained on 25 December and “confessed” during interrogation to monitoring the movements of Baloch fighters, supplying rations to military camps in Bit, Andoor and Zindan, and facilitating the profiling and enforced disappearance of Baloch youth by Pakistani forces and state-backed armed groups.

The BLA said he was “sentenced to death” by the “Baloch National Court” and executed in the Piri Kahn area of Turbat. It claimed he named several accomplices who would “soon meet their logical end.”

Separately, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said its fighters carried out multiple attacks and road blockades across different districts between 12 and 20 January, claiming casualties among Pakistani forces and the seizure of military supplies.

In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said fighters set up a blockade in Turbat’s Hothabad area on 20 January, where they stopped vehicles and seized a truck carrying rations for the army. The driver was later released “on humanitarian grounds,” the group said.

On 19 January, the group said it targeted a Frontier Corps convoy led by Colonel Rizwan on the Pat Feeder–Bedar Road in Dera Murad Jamali, claiming several personnel were injured and vehicles damaged.

The same day, a foot patrol in the Bazdad area of Awaran was hit by a bomb attack, killing one soldier and injuring another, according to the group.

BLF also said its fighters carried out a grenade attack on the hideout of a man it described as a state-backed armed group operator in Kharan on 16 January. On 14 January, it said fighters targeted a Pakistani military checkpoint in the Alandoor area of Buleda.

The group additionally announced the death of one of its members, Baddal alias Dildar, who it said was killed on 12 January in Awaran while on leave visiting his family. BLF described him as a long-serving and “steadfast” fighter who had recently been promoted to the rank of second lieutenant.

There was no immediate comment from Pakistani authorities on the latest claims.

Balochistan has seen an uptick in attacks in recent years, with armed groups targeting Pakistani forces, infrastructure and supply routes as part of a conflict that analysts say is expanding both geographically and tactically.
