Unidentified gunmen shot and killed Waleed Saleh Baloch, the brother of National Party leader and Balochistan Assembly member Rehmat Saleh Baloch, in Panjgur district of Balochistan, on Sunday evening.
According to police, Waleed Saleh, son of National Party leader Haji Saleh Mohammad and younger brother of District Chairman Malik Saleh Baloch and MPA Rehmat Saleh Baloch, was fatally shot when armed assailants opened fire on him in the Chitkan area near the victim’s residence.
The attackers fled the scene after the shooting. The body was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Panjgur for medico-legal procedures.
Police said the motive behind the killing remains unclear, but investigations are underway from multiple angles.
Local residents have expressed shock over the incident, while political circles have called for a thorough investigation and the immediate arrest of those responsible.
