At least five people lost their lives and one person was injured in two separate incidents reported from different districts of Balochistan, according to local administration sources.
In Surab, a road accident claimed the lives of District Election Commissioner Surab, Muhammad Akbar Qureshi, and Data Entry Officer Maqsood Ahmed Jan. The two officials were reportedly traveling together when the accident occurred. Their colleague, Assistant Saddam Hussain, sustained injuries in the incident.
Following the accident, local authorities shifted both the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital for medical attention and necessary procedures.
In a separate and unrelated incident, three individuals drowned in a stream in Saruna Kocha, located in the Saruna area of Khuzdar district.
According to the administration, the deceased have been identified as Wazir Ali Miraji, Ghulam Mustafa Miraji, and Muhammad Ali Miraji. Local residents promptly launched a rescue operation and successfully recovered the bodies from the stream.
