Police in Dukki recovered three bodies from a stream within the jurisdiction of Yaroshahr Police Station on Wednesday. The bodies were transferred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Dukki for identification.

Hospital sources later confirmed the identities of the deceased as Ali Mohammad Hassan Baloch, Mohammad Younas son of Mohammad Isa Baloch, and Wali Mohammad son of Amir Mohammad, all residents of Killi Safar Ali Baloch in Dukki.

Medical personnel confirmed that all three had been shot and killed.

Sources noted that one of the deceased, Mohammad Younas, had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani security forces. The Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) had acknowledged this in a statement issued on 21 June.

According to BNP-M, a delegation from Dukki had met with party leadership in Quetta, informing them that during raids in Killi Safar Ali Baloch, security forces had detained and disappeared several individuals. These included Ghulam Shah son of Nek Mohammad, Manzoor Ahmed son of Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Younas son of Mohammad Isa, Fareed Ahmed son of Mohammad Anwar, Mohammad Anwar son of Mohammad Hussain, Bashir Ahmed son of Rahim Bakhsh, and Naseebullah son of Rahim Bakhsh.

The body of Mohammad Younas, recovered today, was among those previously reported missing.

In recent months, security forces and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have claimed to kill several “armed suspects” in operations across Dukki. However, many of the deceased were later identified as forcibly disappeared persons.

On 28 June, the CTD claimed to have killed four armed suspects. The deceased were later identified by family members as local poet Wazir Khan Suhlani son of Rehan (missing for eight months), Sohbat son of Khamees (missing for two months), and Haider Ali son of Wazir Ahmed (missing for 11 months). Their relatives and local sources confirmed they had been taken into custody by security forces.

In a separate incident in April, five individuals were killed in what authorities described as a shootout. Families of the three of the deceased Mohammad Deen Marri from Harnai, Ijaz son of Khuda Bakhsh from Mangochar, and Abdul Nabi Marri said they were prviously forcibly disappeared. Two other bodies from that incident remain unidentified.

The identities of the other two bodies recovered today have also been confirmed, though further details are yet to be released.
