Sammi Deen Baloch, a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), recently paid tribute to incarcerated BYC leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch in a post on social media, describing her as a “symbol of resilience” and “unyielding defiance.”
Sammi Deen Baloch said that Dr. Mahrang Baloch is not merely a name but a powerful symbol of determination and resistance. She noted that Dr. Baloch played a pivotal role in inspiring courage during times of great “oppression”, spreading hope and strength among the people.
She emphasized that Dr. Baloch’s ideas and ideology cannot be confined by prison walls. While her physical presence may be restricted, her message and impact continue to resonate with those fighting for justice. She stated that her legacy has grown beyond that of an individual to become a broader movement.
Sammi Deen Baloch also pointed out that those who sought to silence Dr. Mahrang Baloch and her colleagues through imprisonment failed to stifle their ideas. Instead, such efforts have only strengthened the movement, making it more prominent in the collective consciousness of the public.
