A 24-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants on a motorcycle near the Mughalzai area of Kalat district in Balochistan on Sunday.
According to police sources, the incident occurred along the Quetta-Karachi highway when unidentified gunmen reportedly opened fire on the victim, identified as Muhammad Ramzan s/o Muhammad Arif, a resident of Koing, Kalat. He reportedly died on the spot.
The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Kalat, where official procedures were completed before it was handed over to the family.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
