Two young men from Quetta have reportedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces while returning from a picnic, according to their family members.

Mohammad Yasir, a resident of Quetta, stated that his brother Mohammad Mudasir s/o Mohammad Zahir Shahwani, along with his friend Mudasir s/o Manzoor, left Sibi for home on March 11 but never arrived. Despite extensive efforts to locate them, their whereabouts remain unknown. The family has appealed to the authorities for their immediate recovery.

Meanwhile, in the Wadh area of Balochistan, local residents launched a protest against the alleged abduction of a young man, Fahad Mengal. Demonstrators, including a significant number of women, blocked the Karachi-Quetta highway at Killi Brahmzai, demanding Mengal’s immediate release.

Holding placards and banners calling for justice, the protestors vowed to continue their sit-in until the youth is recovered. According to Mengal’s family, he was abducted by unidentified individuals five days ago while traveling with friends. Despite notifying the local administration, there has been no official response or progress in the case.

As of now, there has been no public statement from district officials or law enforcement agencies. Protesters have warned that failure to address their demands could lead to the expansion of the demonstrations across Balochistan.
