Pakistani forces were targeted in attacks in Balochistan’s Dukki and Kech districts, according to reports.

In Dukki, armed assailants attacked a military checkpoint in the C Group area on Tuesday night. Gunfire and explosions were heard across Nasirabad and surrounding areas. Authorities confirmed the incident but did not release details on casualties or damage.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the Dukki attack. In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said fighters used grenade launchers and heavy weapons, resulting in “casualties and financial losses” for Pakistani forces. The BLA claimed one soldier was killed.

In a separate incident, armed individuals attacked a military checkpoint in the Hironk area of Kech district. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group, claimed responsibility for the attack.

BLF spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, said that on October 29 at 11:50 pm, BLF fighters used rockets and automatic weapons to target a Pakistani military post on a hill in Hironk, resulting in what he described as “casualties and material losses.” He added that the fighters withdrew from the area following the attack.

The BLF statement also alleged that, in response, Pakistani forces fired mortar shells into nearby residential areas, causing damage to homes.

The BLA and BLF both stated that they will continue such operations until, as they describe, “occupying forces withdraw.”
