The central spokesperson of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP), Sher Mohammad Bugti, has strongly refuted an audio clip circulating in the Pakistani media, which has been falsely attributed to BRP leader Nawab Brahamdagh Bugti.
The BRP spokesperson termed the state’s propaganda, claiming that Nawab Bugti provided financial support to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), as nothing but blatant lies.
Sher Mohammad Bugti stated that state institutions have become increasingly desperate upon witnessing the peaceful public demonstrations, particularly the historic “Baloch Raaji Muchi” in Gwadar, under the leadership of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch. In light of the widespread public support across Balochistan, the state has resorted to fabricating false audio clips and other misleading content to sabotage the people’s struggle.
He further asserted that BRP fully supports the peaceful struggle of any individual, organization, or party against state brutality, whether it be the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, lawyers, doctors, or any other people’s movement.
The BRP spokesperson also remarked that the state’s baseless allegations of foreign funding against public movements are not new. For the past seventy-seven years, whenever anyone raised their voice against military oppression, they were labeled as foreign agents and branded as traitors.
He emphasized that instead of correcting its mistakes, the state continues to suppress the voices of oppressed nations that rise against the injustices inflicted upon them. However, these propaganda tactics of the Pakistani military have not succeeded in the past and will not succeed in the future. The BRP rejects all such propaganda by the state, he concluded.
