At least two police officers were seriously injured in a shooting incident in Pishin, a Pashtuns-dominated area of Balochistan on Thursday.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen opened fired on a vehicle in kali Tarata area of Pishin which left a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and a Station House Officer (SHO) seriously injured. Following the incident, the attackers managed to escape.

Soon after the incident, the police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The police confirmed that the police officers were traveling with a private vehicle when the incident took place.

The Police confirmed that SHO Rozi Khan Kakar and PDSP Ainuddin were seriously injured and were referred to Quetta for further treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till filling this report.
