The son of a Baloch man who has been missing for 14 years is among the latest victims of ‘forced disappearances’ by the Pakistani security forces, according to reports.

Khadim Hussain, a resident of Jhalari, Sibbi, was detained by the Pakistani law-enfocement forces on February 6 while he was traveling to Sibbi from Tipul. His father, Mazar Khan Marri, has been missing since May 28, 2010, when he was allegedly abducted by the security forces along with four others during a military operation in Jhalari. Despite his family’s repeated appeals, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Hussain is one of at least ten people who have been ‘forcibly disappeared’ reportedly by Pakistani forces in different parts of Balochistan since the beginning of February. Among them are a popular TikToker from Mastung and a sports gold medalist from Nushki, who have not been released yet.
