A woman was killed in police firing in the Turbat city of Balochistan’s Kech district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
According to reports, the police raided a house in Salala Bazar area of Turbat city to arrest the accused named Obaid and an exchange of fire took place between the police and the accused, while a bullet hit the accused’s wife and she died on the spot.
The victim’s family alleged that the woman was shot dead by the police. However, the police claimed that the accused’s bullet hit his wife. Meanwhile, residents of the area have appealed to the district administration to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident.
