The Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) media channel, Hakkal, has released a video message from its Commander-in-chief, Basheer Zeb Baloch. The message is primarily directed at international powers, with a particular emphasis on China.
In the message, Mr. Baloch underscored the historical importance of the Baloch nation, asserting its independent identity, separate from that of Punjab and Pakistan. He clarified, “Contrary to Punjab and Pakistan, the Baloch are a nation with history and historical significance.”
The BLA leader accused Pakistan of selling Baloch resources, including Gwadar, Saindak, and Rekodiq, to international powers. He remarked, “Pakistan has occupied Balochistan… handing over these Baloch resources to international powers.”
He appealed to nations that regard themselves as democratic, reminding them of their historical battles for sovereignty. He called on them to refrain from partnering with Pakistan in exploiting Baloch resources and suggested these nations should establish relations with the Baloch only after Pakistan withdraws.
Distinguishing between the genuine representatives of the Baloch people and those he described as agents of the Pakistani state and military, Mr. Baloch insisted that the true representatives are those actively fighting for Balochistan’s independence.
The BLA Commander-in-Chief called upon nations beyond China, including Arab countries, Canada, European Union nations, and neighboring countries, to recognize the Baloch nation’s stance against the exploitation of its resources. He highlighted that the Baloch nation neither seeks animosity nor has enmity with other nations but warned of resistance against any power that aids Pakistan in exploiting Baloch resources or attempts to erase the Baloch identity. He emphasized the readiness of the Baloch people to safeguard their homeland and identity, remarking, “Any investment in Balochistan will be wasteful.”
Basheer Zeb Baloch drew attention to the sacrifices of the Baloch youth in resistance against Pakistan and China. He posed a series of rhetorical questions asking why they are resisting and sacrificing so much. He suggested their sacrifices are a call to the larger Baloch nation to unite in the face of challenges.
Mr. Baloch stressed the imminent threat to Baloch identity and resources and called upon his people to act proactively to protect their heritage. He implored them not to remain passive, cautioning against the dangers of inaction and urging unity against perceived threats, emphasizing, “We know how to kill or die.”
Closing his message, he spoke of the sacrifices made by those fighting in the mountains, dedicated to the defense of the Baloch people. He expressed confidence in the eventual success of the Baloch resistance, citing their unwavering determination and ambition.
