A man was reportedly shot dead in the Jhaoo, district Awaran, on Tuesday.

According to details, at around 4 on Saturday morning, unknown armed men killed a person by opening fire on him. The victim was identified as Amanullah s/o Sayed Muhammad.

The sources said that the deceased was a resident of Jhaoo Patki who was taking refuge here after being forced out of there by a person named Ismail. Last night he was shot dead by the gunmen in the house. According to the local sources, Ismail has ties to a state-backed “death squad”, while sources claim the one of two assailants was Ismail himself. The second assailant was identified as Saleem s/o Lalu.

It should be remembered that on April 4th, 2017, three people of the same family, Bayaan s/o Laal Muhammad, his son Peer Jan and his teenage grandson Qambar, were killed in a shooting incident in Keelkori.

It should be noted that Baloch nationalists accuse the Pakistani forces of forming death squad groups across Balochistan, which are involved in various social evils, including killings and disappearances of people. Furthermore, the forces are alleged to grant these groups complete immunity.
