Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani security forces in the Khuzdar, Kech, and Nasirabad districts of Balochistan on Thursday.
According to reports, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for an armed attack on Pakistani security forces in the Kattan area of Khuzdar on Thursday. Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for BLA said in a press release that their fighters attacked the outpost of the Pakistani army at Kattan bridge. “The attack was carried out with a hand grenade bomb when the enemy personnel were gathering outside the checkpoint,” Jeeyand Baloch said.
Jeeyand Baloch claimed that four Pakistan army personnel were injured as a result of the explosion.
Meanwhile, another armed group, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) took responsibility for attacking a Pakistan army camp in Tajaban area of Kech district. Major Ghoram Baloch, the spokesperson for BLF said that the army camp was attacked on Wednesday night at 8:35 pm. “BLF fighters attacked the camp with rockets and modern weapons, causing heavy loss of life and property to the enemy forces,” the BLF statement read.
Similarly, another Baloch armed group known as, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) also claimed responsibility for targeting a company of Pakistan’s military. the BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said that “Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) was working on a government project in Dera Murad Jamali when our fighters attacked them.” The FWO workers suffered the loss of life and machinery as a result of the attack, the BRG spokesperson claimed.
