Seven people have gone missing from Kharan, Panjgur, Quetta, Khuzdar and Kulan.

According to details, on 21st March Pakistani Frontier corps and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in a joint operation raided a house, located near levies police station in Kharan district of Balochistan.

In the raid the forces detained Imtiaz s/o Abdul Hameed and took his mobile phone and computer with them.

In a separate incident, two Baloch youths were arrested and moved to an unknown location, during an operation in Kulan. The abductees were identified as Rizwan Ahmed s/o Abdul Basit and Mateeullah. While on 23rd March, another man Akhtar s/o Afzal was arrested and moved to an unknown location from Wadh area.

Meanwhile, in Panjgur on 23rd March another incident of enforced disappearance took place. According to local sources armed men, believed to be alleged members of a local “death squad” took a man named as Ghani s/o Lashkari with them.

Moreover, the Voice for Baloch missing Persons (VBMP) confirmed two more enforced disappearances from different areas of Quetta city.

According to VBMP, last month on 17th February, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared Abdul Basit s/o Abdul Ghani during a raid on his house in Jewer Colony area of Quetta city,

Similarly, on 20th February forces allegedly arrested Gul Zaib s/o Muhammad Azeem from Kili Shaboo and moved him to an unknown location, who still remains missing.

It should be noted that last month alone around 70 people were forcefully disappeared from different areas of Balochistan. Some of these were later released while most of them remain missing.
