Wife of Kifayat Baloch alleges that she was severely tortured during her pregnancy by the Pakistani army personnel, on the night they abducted her husband.

In a press conference on Wednesday, in the Quetta press club, the wife of missing Kifayatullah said that she was tortured when the Pakistani troops came to forcibly disappeared Kifayat Ullah. “Due to severe torture, I was taken to the hospital where I had to give birth by baby prematurely”, she stated. After the disappearance of her husband, she is concerned about the future of her kids, as Kifayat was the only male and bread earner in the house.

Kifayat-Ullah, a teacher by profession, was reportedly detained by the Pakistani forces from Mangochar area of district Kalat on February 11, 2022. As per reports, he was forcefully disappeared along with four other people from Mangochar, but the other four abductees are yet to be identified. 

According to reports, following the Baloch Liberation Army’s simultaneous attacks on FC Headquarters in Nushki and Panjgur, there has been a sudden rise in forcible disappearances. More than 60 individuals have been reportedly abducted in last 20 days from various parts of Balochistan.
