The Balochistan National Party Mengal (BNP-Mengal) organized a demonstration in Turbat, the central city of district Kech, on Thursday against the district administrations. Scores of civilians, carrying banners and BNP-Mengal flags, marched on the roads and raised slogans against the district authorities.

According to the details, the rally marched to the Model Public Ground and then to the Shaheed Fida Chowk, where they settled for a demonstration. Addressing the demonstration, the speakers said that the levies force is physically torturing innocent civilians and then falsely accusing them of crimes they have not committed. They said that the BNP-Mengal members are made to suffer physical violence, but we will not abandon our political struggle.

The speakers said that under the leadership of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the BNP has always been at the frontline when it came to defending the “oppressed.” Even today, BNP is always the first party to stand for truth. No matter how many fake FIRs are lodged against our workers, we will not yield, they said.

The speakers said that our workers were physically tormented for cutting wood and selling it in the market. They said that if it is a crime, then every poor person will willingly do it because they have no other way to earn and provide for their family members. We cannot sell drugs, kill someone for money or be involved in any other crimes. Cutting and selling wood is the only legal option for us. They said that the district administration made a grave mistake in “illegally arresting” and physically assaulting BNP-Mengal workers.

They said that until our workers are not given justice, we will continue to protest.
