Pakistani security forces camp was reportedly targeted by armed men in Lijje area of Kharan, on Saturday night.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen attacked a Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Kharan area of Balochistan.

The attack took place in Lijje area of Kharan, after the attack armed men escaped the scence. However, Pakistani military officials have neither confirmed nor denied the attack.

Local sources confirmed that after the attack, several mortar shells were fired to the local population from the military camp.

Responsibility of the attack was claimed by a Baloch armed group, United Baloch Army (UBA).

UBA’s spokesman Mazar Baloch said in a statement that last night around 8 pm, UBA fighters attacked the Frontier Corps’ main camp in the Lijje, with grenade launchers and other heavy weapons. “The attack lasted for half an hour which resulted in causing casualties to the enemy army” he added.
