Military operations have been launched reportedly by Pakistani army in Awaran, Gichk and Mashkai areas of Balochistan, on Monday.

According to details, Pakistani forces have launched operations in different areas of Gichk, Awaran, Mashkay and vicinity. During the operation several persons have been forcibly disappeared allegedly by the Pakistani military, one of the abductees has been identified while others still remain unknown.

Sources told TBP that the operation is underway in Peerandar, area of Awaran, Jakru, Allah Baksh Bent, Darman Bent, Hammal Bazar, Wadi e Tolgi, Ghulamu, Kandhar, Bakshi Bazar and surroundings since this morning, while the said areas have been besieged by Pakistani forces. 

According to reports, during the operation forces have torched the houses of civilians in different areas and besieged Kulan, Teer Kashi and Raghe areas of Mashkay, while forces have also set up new camps in different places. 

Houses, crops and other belongings of the locals were set on fire by forces in Panjgur and Gichk during last month.  

According to sources, Pakistani forces have also detained several herdsmen and transferred them to an unknown location. One of the abductees has been identified as Bashir Ahmed son of Dilshad. Ahmed is said to be a shopkeeper.  

It should be noted that a similar operation was carried out in Mazanband, and Gichk areas of Panjgur last month. during which, houses, crops and other belongings of the locals were  reportedly set on fire by Pakistani forces. 

District officials have always refused to provide information about the military operations. While the locals claim that army has forcibly disappeared women and children and has burned down the houses in the aforementioned operation.
