The central leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) and the former chairman of the Baloch Student Organization (BSO), Manzoor Baloch, succumbed to the virulent COVID-19 and died on Saturday afternoon.

According to The Balochistan Post news desk, Manzoor Baloch had contracted the COVID-19 a week earlier. In the following days, his health had deteriorated, and he had been relocated to the COVID-19 isolation ward in Sheikh Zahid Hospital, Quetta. Due to a growing respiratory problem, Mr Baloch passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Manzoor Baloch was a denizen of Mastung, Balochistan. He was the central labour secretary of the Balochistan National Party. In the late 1990s, he had also served as the chairman of the Baloch Student Organization.

The leaders of the Balochistan National Party and other politicians have expressed grief on Mr Baloch’s death and have opined that Balochistan has lost a sincere political leader.

Following Manzoor Baloch’s death, the Bramsh Solidarity Committee of Mastung decided to defer their protest which was planned for tomorrow. The committee assured that they will announce the new date soon.
