The dead body of a previously missing person has been found from Mashkay.
According to details received by TBP, a tortured dead body was found from Mashkay on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed s/o Faqeer Muhammad.
Bashir was reportedly arrested by Pakistani security forces from Nookjo area of Mashkay and he was not heard of ever since. However, today his body was found by locals.
Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abductions’ have also been reported. Many of the missing persons have been ‘killed and dumped’.
International and national human rights campaigns have criticized extrajudicial killings and abductions in Balochistan and accused Pakistani forces of being the culprit.
