Jiand Baloch was allegedly abducted by Pakistan’s security agencies last week from Quetta

According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, students of Bahauddin Zakariya University(BZU), Multan, staged a protest against the abduction of their fellow student, Jiand Baloch, on Monday.

Jiand Baloch is a student of BZU in the Sociology department and is a senior office bearer of Baloch Student Organization (BSO).

Jiand was abducted along with his father Qayum Baloch and younger brother Hasnain Baloch on 30 November from their house in Quetta by security agencies, claimed BSO in a press conference on Saturday.

Protest at BZU started from boycotting the classes on Monday in Sociology department, which turned into a rally chanting slogans against the abduction of Jiand and demanding his safe release.

Different student organizations joined the protest rally in front of Multan press club, where participants chanted slogans against the authorities and criticized them for pushing the students to take extreme measures.

Participants said that Jiand had come to Multan for his studies as situations in Balochistan were volatile, but he was abducted when he had gone to Balochistan on vacations.

Students at the protest demanded the safe release of Jiand and his family members.
