Another person was abducted by Security forces from Gwadar city of Balochistan

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, a person has been abducted from Naya Abad area of Gwadar.

As per the locals, Pakistani forces raided a house in Naya Abad area and took away one person whose whereabouts are unknown.

The abductee has been identified as, Mohammed Naveed s/o Haji Naseer.

It is pertinent to mention, there has an intensity been observed in the enforced disappearance in Balochistan’s Gwadar District in last a few weeks. A number of citizens have been abducted and taken to undisclosed locations by security forces.

On December 3rd another person Mohammed Sidique s/o Abdul Rehman was also abducted from the Naya Abad area of Gwadar, He is still missing.

The term abducted is widely used in Balochistan to connote arrests made by security forces as the arrested are not presented before the court of law and instead kept in military camps.

Enforced disappearances that started in the early 2000s have never slowed down in Balochistan, in fact, the dramatic surge has been observed in the number of people going missing with each coming year.
