A person has been abducted during the military raids in Kech district of Balochistan.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, in recently launched cordon and raids in Buz area of district Kech, one man has been arrested and taken to an undisclosed location by security forces.

The abductee has been identified as Naseem s/o Saleh Mohammed.

“Forces searched every house and also harassed women and children during the operation” residents said.

Whereas the operation has not been confirmed or denied by state authorities yet.

Last month Pakistani forces conducted raids and ‘whisked away’ 3 persons in a search operation in Kech district of Balochistan.

Enforced disappearances that started in the early 2000s have never slowed down in Balochistan, in fact, dramatic surge has been observed in the number of people going missing with each coming year.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International also accuse Pakistani security forces as the culprits of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’
