Heavy clashes erupted between armed men and Pakistani security forces near Sibbi, yesterday.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani forces were targeted by unknown armed assailants near Sibbi, where Pakistani forces are carrying out an operation for the third consecutive day.

Locals have claimed that a total of fifteen people have been ‘abducted’ during the operation.

The Pakistani forces have reportedly been targeted at multiple locations during the operation.

Operations by Pakistani forces have been carried out in the same area in past too and forces have claimed to kill many militants in such operations.

However, locals have denied the claim of forces and accused them of killing civilians residing in the areas and stealing their valuables from their houses.

Different armed groups have waged war against Pakistani security forces in resources-rich, Balochistan. These organisations claim that they are fighting for outright independence of Balochistan.
